Since acquiring the centre in the late 1990s, QICGRE has undertaken a succession of developments and refurbishments, enhancing the centre's offer to respond to the evolving needs and aspirations of the local community.

Recent developments have included The Market Room – a vibrant and contemporary fresh food destination; the centre's bustling Piazza entertainment precinct; and the redeveloped North Mall retail precinct – which will introduce a remixed fashion and lifestyle retail offer, new children's play area, and a new approach to interior design (due to open in late 2020).
